SSI's Extended Range programs form a bridge between Recreational Diving and Technical Diving. They are designed to allow you, the recreational diver, the chance to enter the exciting world of Extended Range diving without necessarily having to dramatically change your existing diving philosophy. These programs simply enhance and build upon your existing knowledge. They provide the components that will allow you to use the different gases, new equipment and skills necessary to complete limited decompression schedules.

Certification Card Extended Range Nitrox

This program qualifies you to dive to 40 meters using air or nitrox with a maximum of 15 minutes of non - accelerated decompression using a single stage decompression gas for added conservatism. The program can be completed wearing either the Recreational total diving system or the Extended Range Nitrox total diving system or the Extended Range total diving system.

Certification Card Extended Range

This program qualifies you to dive to 45 meters using nitrox and 20 minutes of accelerated decompression using a one stage decompression gas. The program can only be completed wearing a technical total diving system.

Certification Card Extended Range

As with Extended Range this course allows you to dive to 45 meters and 20 minutes of accelerated decompression time using one stage decompression gas. The program can only be completed wearing a full technical total diving system. In addition to using nitrox, you will be qualified to use Trimix with a minimum oxygen content of 21%. The use of trimix is specifically designed to reduce nitrogen narcosis in the extended range diver.

SSI's Technical Extended Range Programs are true Technical Diving programs. They challenge the diver with multi stage unlimited decompression profiles. As with the XR programs, real overhead techniques are covered when participating in the wreck and cave programs.?Because of the nature of these extreme programs your training will be incredibly thorough and exacting. Nothing is left to chance and all bases are covered. The high level skills and knowledge during the XR programs are taken a step further allowing you to push not only traditional diving limits but also your own.?These are apex programs and once you have completed your training you will be the best of the best.

Certification Card Technical Extended Range

This program allows diving to 50 meters using nitrox and unlimited accelerated decompression using two stage decompression gases. The program can only be completed wearing a technical total diving system.

Certification Card Technical Extended Range

As with Technical Extended Range, you will need a full technical total diving system and two stages. This program will qualify you to dive to 60 meters, and in addition to the gas utilized in technical extended range, you will now use trimix with a minimum content of 18%. The Technical extended range trimix course can be completed in addition to or as an alternative to the Technical extended range program.

Certification Card Hypoxic Trimix

It is during this course that you will use all the knowledge, skills, equipment and experience in all of your previous training and push your limits to the extreme. There are two pathways; one takes you to 80 meters and the other to 100 meters. You will use all the same equipment as in the Technical extended range trimix program. However, you will now use a minimum of three stage decompression gases.
