Discover Tec Course

The PADI TecRec Discover Technical diving course is exactly that, a discovery of the technical equipment and differing diving techniques used for decompression diving. During the course you will have the time to familiarise and acquaint yourself with a set of full technical equipment, you will take a quick theory session or relevant diving techniques and go for a fun dive in sheltered water not deeper than 10m. This program may easily be contributed to your full the beginning of your PADI TecRec technical courses should you meet all the performance requirements.

Tec 40 Course

Tec 40 is the first subdivision of the full PADI Tec Deep.
You will learn to how to use decompression software and dive computers to plan and make decompression dives with no more than 10 minutes of total decompression and not deeper than 40 metres/130 feet. The will use a single cylinder of decompression gas with up to 50% oxygen (EANx50) to add conservatism to the required decompression.

Tec 45 Course

The Tec 45 course picks up where Tec 40 leaves off and takes your training as a Tec diver further and deeper. It is the second sub-course in the full PADI Tec Diver course. You will learn the skills and equipment and planning needed to dive to a maximum of 45 metres/145 feet. You will acquire the knowledge to plan and execute single and repetitive decompression dives using a single stage cylinder of EANx or oxygen to accelerate or add conservatism to the decompression stops.

Tec 50 Course

This course completes your training as an entry-level Tec diver taking you past the limits of recreational diving. During your training you will make actual decompression dives as deep as 50 metres/165 feet. You will be using enriched air nitrox and/or oxygen for decompression and use desk top decompression software to create custom dive tables and plan your dives. By the end of the course you will qualify to make technical decompression dives independently.

Tec Distinctive Trimix Speciality

This is an optional course which can be taught to PADI Tec 45 and Tec 50 qualified divers to enable them to use trimix with a minimum of 21% Oxygen and a maximum of 20% Helium to make dives within their current TecRec certification depth limit with a planned decompression not exceeding 20 minutes.

Tec Trimix 65 Course

The Tec Trimix 65 is the first level trimix course open to certified Tec 50/Tec Deep Divers. The Tec Trimix 65 course introduces Tec 50 divers to the first stages of trimix diving to a maximum depth of 65 metres/210 feet. Certified Tec Trimix 65 divers are qualified to make multi- stop trimix decompression dives that employ EANx and oxygen for accelerated decompression, and trimix with 18 percent or more oxygen as bottom gas.
The Tec Trimix 65 course is considered a subcourse within the Tec Trimix Diver course.

Tec Trimix Diver Course

Intended to extend the depth range of technical divers already trained and qualified to use air, enriched air and oxygen for technical decompression dives beyond 50 metres/165 feet. Diving with trimix is the outer edge of tec diving - the maximum depth for using this technology has yet to be defined. You will learn how to plan and execute at least five trimix decompression dives using various trimix blends. Use decompression software to create custom dive tables and dive plans and make training dives as deep as 90 metres/295 feet.

Tec Gas Blender Course

The Tec Gas Blender course develops the students ability to competently blend enriched air nitrox and helium based gases using one or more blending methods available for the dive industry.
